This is designed and tested to work with the MFW-15 drivers in a SEALED 2.5ft^3 cabinet per driver, utilizing 1,2 or 4 drivers. Mark has a dual woofer cabinet design and I will be adding pictures and pricing as soon as that is available.
This was designed with the DIYer in mind that wanted to build their own box, but might not want to spend all the time learning and money on trying to get good response and this also gives you limiting, something that is VERY well needed when using these drivers
Tested to both Mark Seatons and my own standards, the amp has been modified to yield a response curve that will benefit from room gain and give very good response. The Near Field Measurements are ~+/-3db 20hz-160hz Couple that with room gain and you could be seeing very impressive levels down to the low low teens.
While this amp starts out life as the Dayton SA1000 amp, I heavily modify it to get both the limiting and EQ required for a seamless playback that will not having you running to turn it down due to ugly noises or having to cycle the power button due to shutting the amp down. I know many of you were unable to purchase these drivers, Mark and I have been looking into a similar driver(upgraded) that will be in the same price range. This amp will then also be modified and available for that driver.
